International students and residents of Florida can take courses, certificates, and earn degrees through HDS as a program of Hartwell University®.

All other students can complete HDS courses and certificates as a program of Hartwell Quest®. 

Additionally, every HDS student has access to credit transfer and degree programs at over 240 accredited Christian colleges and universities through our accredited partnerships.*

Hartwell Divinity School™ offers comprehensive degree programs designed to provide advanced theological and ministerial training. Our degrees are grounded in rigorous academic study and practical application. Each program emphasizes a deep understanding of Scripture, theology, and practical ministry skills, preparing graduates to excel in various roles within the global Body of Christ. Our degree offerings equip students to become effective leaders, scholars, missionaries, and apologists, committed to advancing the mission of Christ in today’s world.

Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

The Master of Divinity program at Hartwell Divinity School™ is an extensive 81-credit program designed to prepare students for pastoral and ministry leadership roles. The curriculum includes comprehensive studies in New Testament Gospels, Acts, letters, and Revelation, as well as Old Testament Torah, historical and wisdom literature, and the major and minor prophets. Students will also receive training in Greek and Hebrew, systematic theology, church history, biblical anthropology, apologetics, homiletics, and pastoral ministry. This rigorous program equips graduates with the theological knowledge, exegetical skills, and practical ministry experience necessary to lead and disciple effectively in various ministry contexts.

Master of Arts in Theology (M.A. Theology)

The Master of Arts in Theology is a 42-credit program focused on providing an in-depth understanding of systematic theology. Core courses cover New Testament Gospels, Acts, letters, and Revelation, as well as Old Testament Torah, historical and wisdom literature, and the prophets. The program includes advanced studies in systematic theology, church history, and biblical anthropology. Elective courses allow for further specialization in areas such as faith and politics, biblical justice, and apologetics. Graduates are well-prepared to engage in theological scholarship, teaching, and ministry.

Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (M.A. Biblical Studies)

The Master of Arts in Biblical Studies is a 48-credit program aimed at providing students with a thorough grounding in biblical texts and languages. The curriculum includes detailed studies of New Testament and Old Testament books, along with courses in Greek and Hebrew. Systematic theology and bibliology courses provide a robust theological framework, while elective courses in exegesis of specific books like Matthew, John, Romans, and Revelation allow for focused biblical scholarship. This program prepares graduates for advanced biblical research, teaching, and ministry roles.

Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics (M.A. Christian Apologetics)

The Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics is a 48-credit program designed to equip students with the skills to defend the Christian faith in a secular world. Core courses cover New Testament and Old Testament studies, systematic theology, and apologetics. The program offers specialized courses on the intersection of faith and politics, biblical justice, human identity, and worldviews. Students will learn to critically analyze and respond to contemporary cultural and ideological challenges. Graduates are prepared to engage in apologetic ministry, teaching, and public discourse.

*Accredited degree options are fully provided by our partner institutions. Enrollment at Hartwell Divinity School™ (HDS) is optional and not required to earn an academic degree from these partners.
